What is a Montage?
A Montage is a selection of clips grouped together into a single audio file that you can play and download. Montages are extremely powerful because they empower you to:
Create thematic montages to rally your organization around the voice of the customer (e.g., examples of customer friction points, or customer gratitude).
Create montages as training materials for your agents.
Download montages and share them with key stakeholders.
Use montages to support key data insights by providing evidence using the voice of the customer.
How to Build a Montage
Select clips in audio clips panel
Within the Audio Clips tab in the Montage Library Domain, select the clips you want to use in your montage. Select Create Montage to open Montage Builder.
Montage Builder
There are a number of actions you can take within montage builder:
Edit clips
You can edit your clips by dragging your cursor on the playhead area (the audio waveform) and select Remove to quickly remove a segment of the clip.
Or, click Edit to indicate the specific start and end time (mm:ss) for the section of the clip you want to remove. This is helpful for very granular clip removal.
Reorder clips
You can drag and drop clips to rearrange their order by clicking and holding the drag handle on the left-hand side of the clip and moving the clip up or down the list of clips.
Undo changes
You can undo any of the recent changes you’ve made on an individual clip by clicking the undo icon on the left-hand side of the clip.
Remove clips
You can remove a clip from the montage by clicking the trash can icon on the left-hand side of the clip.
Add tones or silent breaks
Tones or silent breaks are great for identifying separate clips in your montage. You can add them by clicking the + button between clips and choosing to insert either a tone or a silent break, depending on your preference.
Redact Clips
If you click Redact Clip, it will open a menu where you have a number of redaction and obfuscation options.
The Data Processing Options dropdown menu allows you to select what information you’d like to redact.
The Data Processing Options dropdown allows for multi-select.
If you’d like to obfuscate the speakers by changing the pitch of their voices, select VoiceRedaction. The Voice Redaction slider will then be enabled so you can change their pitch.
Saving a Montage
Once you’ve built your montage, select Merge Clips. This will combine the audio clips into a single file.
Click Save to Name and Save your Montage.
